Members: The GALA was a major WCU fundraising event for 5 Seasons. Currently there are no plans to replace it. Rather, we will concentrate on seeking grant and sponsorship dollars to help us meet our mission.

The Fashionable Tidings Luncheon has become the primary fund-raising event for the WCU. In recent years we collaborated with area designer Bruce Paul Goodman & Lieblang Leather to create a memorable and fun kick-off to the holiday season. WISN 12 Meteorologist Mark Baden was our inaugural Master of Ceremonies at the beautiful Legends at Merrill Hills Country Club. Most recently the Grand Salon and Grand Ballroom of Country Springs Hotel & Conference Center has welcomed us. The 2016 event will feature the extraordinary sounds of Roberta Carpenter & Elna Hickson, performing holiday works and lending the perfect touch to the festivities! The event begins at 11:00am with a wine tasting and a Basket Raffle. At Noon, guests enjoy a wonderful lunch. At 12:30pm, models (including our own beautiful singers!), decked out in the latest – and wearable – fashions, walk among the tables, inspiring guests to their own designs for the upcoming holiday season. This Anniversary year each person attending receives a 5 Year Gala memento to take home!
Fashionable Tidings Luncheon tickets are affordably priced. We seek support and sponsorship from WCU singers and their families, from area businesses, whether in underwriting the event, providing items for the raffle or goody bags, donations, program ads, etc. This event offers great visibility within our community, and benefits our cause to meet fundraising goals and further the mission of the Waukesha Choral Union.
The Committee is always seeking singing and non-singer volunteers to work on this year-long project. Get involved!
