Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass is an ethereal work that employs the traditional mass texts but musically creates different moods and an aesthetic that reflects the movement titles. 1. The Spheres (Kyrie); 2. Sunrise (Gloria); 3. The City (Credo); 4. Identity & The Ground (Sanctus). Experience these four movements as we create an image of the cosmos from the echos of The Spheres to the assurance of terra firma in Identity and The Ground. If you love lush harmonies and beautiful melodies, you must hear this performance! WCU Sunrise 2014 Program

First United Methodist Church, Waukesha
A concert of contemplative songs about life and the life hereafter. The main work will be Requiem by John Rutter. The Requiem, completed in 1985, utilizes texts from the Requiem Mass and the Book of Common Prayer. Rutter as other composers Faure, Brahms and Durufle for example, has also made individual artistic choices when choosing text to set his requiem mass. Written in remembrance of his father, its musical language is serene and soulful speaking directly to the human heart. WCU – Light Eternal 2013 Program
